I am a student here currently, in 7th grade. I think this school is kind of good kind of not. Safety, sucks. NO one cares about learning, bullying is huge here. Teachers are 'ight. Recommend if you are looking for a middle school only, School isn't too bad.

This is a DIY school. My child was the last of the pandemic year. Meaning, in 9th grade their GPA and credits were substantially harmed. The teachers that year simply put assignments on Canvas and left it at that. So, any child that had any difficulties or even just wasn't a self-starter, would not be able to do well. Every year after that was a fight to get the teachers to follow the accommodations. You'd think that they would have some kind of empathy and support kids who'd gone through something unprecedented that cost my child literally 1000's in scholarships. You know, watch their grades for near misses (i.e. a 59 or 69) that would really harm them. Guidance was practically non-existent leaving the students to figure out for themselves how to go to college. At one point, they even tried to push my child out to alternative high school. That's when I realized that they had no intention of actually helping my child or any other child overcome this blow. They would just push them out and then not be responsible for them. It's not surprising that the school's test scores are average or below average and I'm sure that they would be much worse from the students that did get pushed out. Communication with parents is very poor. The cafeteria staff was always rude. I would say however I felt it was a safe school. The 3 stars I am giving for the other half of the teachers who were great teachers, understood the situation, and actually helped my child.

My child is in their ASD cluster for a few years.Last year, my child has endured a very challenging years. I have always had great things to say but at this point I don’t have anything nice to say about thing that has transpired at the school. My child was moved around teachers and excluded from activities. When communicate issues with staff and teachers, I was met with a lack of empathy and understanding. I was just til they could not handle my child and was told to send them somewhere else. The teachers and staff do not tell the truth about what happens through the day but are very quick to call to pick up your child when they don’t want to deal with them. I am choosing to remove my child from the school because his needs were not being met and due to inappropriate handling.
