4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went here one year in 2021/2022. The kids were rude, toxic, and unaccepting and from what I’ve heard from students who still go there they still are. When I went there, there were always fights and many kids harassed others while the teachers nor the kids did anything about it. The staff was terrible and the teachers didn’t do anything about the bullying going on in their classrooms but the academic parts weren’t that bad. If you reported anything to the office they didn’t do anything about it or if they did the student who got in trouble still continued their bad behavior.Other Review4mo ago - Horizon Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to this school for 4 years before we moved out of state, and we have missed this school ever since. The teachers are wonderful, and treat the kids great. They do not tolerate bullying for a minute. All of the staff are the best I have ever seen in a school. They truly care about the children, and get to know them well. We moved to a terrible school system and I had to remove my daughter to home school her until we can move again. She is now in middle school so could no longer attend Horizon anyway, but I wish dearly that every school had the qualities that this one has. If your child is unique, sweet, soft spoken or even if they aren't, they will thrive in this school. The only way they wouldn't do well here is if they are a troublemaker because it is absolutely not tolerated.Parent Review9y ago - Atlantic High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your student is special needs with adhd or any other special needs beware they don't care . My child has adhd and has impulse issues and is not able to take meds due to seizures. This did not stop them for disciplining my child for every little thing. Grant it my child is no angel by any means, but is not a problem child as well. The school does not see it this way though for a child with adhd they see them as a problem . The discipline lady and vice principal are a nightmare they will discipline them for every little thing they can find. The discipline lady acts like a child tattling on a class mate basically. The vice principal has no sense of humor what so ever and will judge your student even before they walk in the front door with out getting to know them first even If they have never been in the school there. They are very judgmental, pushy and act like stuck up rich snobs. There was only one teacher there that i liked and needs a shout out for being awesome and that was Ms. Viola in special ed. The sheriff on campus there was awesome as well he really does care about the kids and all of the kids safety there so shout out to him as well for being awesome, Other then that i am not impressed with this school at all. We felt they really just want to push kids thru and collect the money on these special needs kids.Parent Review1y ago - Volusia Virtual School

"My neighborhood is very accessible, everything is near and it has literally everything. I rarely leave within 20 minutes of home to get anything I need. Commute to work is not bad, but there is no piblic transport like a public bus or train. Walking can be a little tedious, so it is better if you own a car. "
