8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school, great teachers, excellent music program & librarian. Horrible location and boundaries for kids to attend are silly. We bus our kid twice as far as the closest elementary. The school is overcrowded. Texas is an awful state to have kids in public school overall, but the elementary school does the best with what they have. The teachers are the heros here. God bless them for putting up with the environment and regulations they teach under.Parent Review3mo ago - O'connor High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet me start off with I am a huge supporter of public education, our teachers and give a lot of second, third, fourth chances. Texas schools are a 3rd world country so if you're up north or east, stay.O'Connor administration is weak, biased, and it's not pro-student, at all. They are pro-funding and won't deal with poor teachers. The chemistry classes have 1 classroom with natural gas for bunson burners and 1 classroom with a vent hood that works. 800+ students....1 chemistry class with functional equipment. The teachers don't have paper to print assignments. The school's mandatory laptop computers have NO YOUTUBE CONTROLS. My kid watched anime for 5 hours a day. I'm not kidding, we check his history. The teachers pass kids just to get rid of them. If a parent argues, get an A. The good teachers are leaving. This is our third kid at OHS and we cannot wait to be through.Test score are Pathetic. Check yourself. The Administrators are apathetic and just want parents to go away. The teachers hate their jobs and I would to if I worked there. We have donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars and the school just keeps deteriorating.Parent Review3mo ago - Folks Middle

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a lot of bullying that goes unchecked and nobody seems to care about it. Nursing staff make you feel like you are an inconvenience the entire time you’re there. I really like my teachers though. Shout out to Mrs.Bradly (history), Mr.Wong (math), and Ms.Ford (theatre) they make learning fun and I look forward to their classes.Student Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 10822 Yaupon Holly.

" There are many families with children and pets. I'm staying with my daughter and her family presently. I've been over during all sorts of times of the day the year. People take care of their properties. I've seen you owners out with their animals. Scooper and bags in hand. One gal even asked me to hold her dog as she forgot to bring one and it happened to be my daughter's yard he did his business in. The swimming area is great. The car schools are top notch. I can access it better than most as I've been a mayor north of here. I had to deal with many military can folks from each branch of the service. Dealing with Generals and all the servicing see b understand the units. I quickly became very "people" orientation. It was a daunting job I grew to love. This neighborhood has many active duty folks. And they sure value their investments. Nice survey! "
