7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile the school had quite promising programs to offer, the strict dress code which is outdated by two decades and can be inflexible for plus sized students. The support staff do not adhere to the dress code to serve as an example for the students to follow, which is hypocritical. Communication between school staff and families are either robotic boiler language, ineffective, or none at all. School safety has been a huge concern on campus, yet families are left in the dark. While we love the opportunities provided, we are sadly disappointed that we have to rely on our children to communicate the recent safety issues: fights, trespassing, threats to school safety, etc. These should've come first hand from the staff. It’s very upsetting to notify families that students must maintain a minimum 96% attendance throughout their stay at Nobel in order to graduate and walk (during their final year.) This information should've been clearly communicated when students first started their stay, not their final year. Yes, we would recommend it for the programs it offers. Some of teachers and support staff are fantastic! But proceed with caution, so you won’t be surprised or blindsided.Parent Review6mo ago - Northridge Academy High

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been going to Darby since Kindergarten and is now in 4th grade at the school. Not only has the teaching staff been exemplary, but the school takes great care with students who have learning disabilities. My son is on the autism spectrum and would be considered high functioning, so many may not recognize his autism. But the school and staff surrounded him with support to help him excel in areas beyond simple academics, such as social development, and peer-peer interaction, helping him with social cues and behavior in group settings, things where his autism may have hampered his ability to integrate and excel. I credit the Darby staff with with their incredible effort on my son's behalf, without which I think his social and academic performance would be severely underdeveloped from where they are now. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at this school after 4 years of attendance.Parent Review5mo ago - Valley Academy Of Arts And Sciences
