Description

The high prairie region of Crawford County Missouri is a much sought after area of the state, and this gem offers solitude and a multitude of opportunity for the next owner. Nestled back off the county road, you will find a two thousand square foot 1.5 story manufactured log home, fully furnished and move in ready. The interior walls are adorned in knotty pine all the way to the top of the open living area. The main floor provides a bedroom and full bath, another bedroom is located on the upper floor with full bath. The up stairs area over the garage is unfinished for the next owner to create a multiple bunk area or partition for multiple bedrooms. A new metal roof was installed in 2017, and the full length front porch invites you to sit a spell and enjoy the country life. There are two drilled wells and a cistern on the property and a manufactured log home for your dog as well. The lawn is large and well manicured with huge post oak trees and cedars scattered though out.Adding character to the property, the old red barn is structurally sound, has a new metal roof, and will provide a dry place for your hay or livestock. A detached two stall garage/workshop provides the ideal place to store your tractor and side by side. Two ponds will provide a place for the wood ducks to nest and fish for the frying pan.The majority of this 118 acre property is made up of Oak and Hickory hardwood, with enough Cedar areas to provide sanctuary for the Deer and Turkey. The southern half of the acreage is mature white oak timber that has never been harvested and could provide a substantial return on investment. During my initial trip to the farm I happened upon a very nice buck as he slipped north to south across the county road, using one of the little valleys as his travel corridor. This property is an ideal opportunity for a Quality Deer Management practice to be put in place as large tracts of land surround this parcel.Behind the home is a six to eight acre field for your animals, potential for row crop, and ideal spot for a hidden food plot or two. You can sit on the back deck and watch the wildlife while you drink you morning coffee or spot the bucks at last light of day.Updated on 3-9-21

"Murals on the buildings and Route 66 goes through the town. Several rivers surrounds Cuba. "

" Commute what lol? It’s a tiny town and the roads are good in the town. Never really a traffic back up. The school is average. Lots of factory jobs. "

"I've lived in this area for most of my life, with the exception of a few years in the military, and this city, by far, is the most family friendly and community oriented I've ever seen. There is an actual drive in movie theater still going strong, and on most summer evenings the ball parks are full of parents cheering for their children, then afterward, the children cheering on their parents. The city is very involved when it comes to supporting the schools and the children. The county fair is held in Cuba, as well as parades in the summer and also at Christmas time, welcoming Santa and celebrating the birth of Jesus. it's a joyous time whether you are 1 or 101!. With Steelville, aka the "Floating Capital of Missouri" just 8 miles away, camping, canoeing and float trips await you, your family and friends for a relaxing time on the Meramec River. It's truly small town America at its best, where a funeral procession is met by citizens pulling off to the side of the road out of respect until the procession has passed, regardless of whom the procession is for, if the drivers that are pulling over know them or not, respect is still paramount in this tight knit community. As you have likely surmised by now, having lived all over the USA, I headed back to my hometown to raise my children in the same community I grew up in. And now that they are grown with children of their own, they too want to raise their children in the same community. If that doesn't speak volumes about this quintessential small town America community, then I don't know what would! "

"Cuba is a great town to live in, with alot of outdoor recreation for all ages. The town is very envolved in youth programs, and backing their students in many indevers. The city council is always trying to bring in new businesses, so that they have plenty to keep people employed. The town jumps in to help if an emergency should arise. Families that loose their homes in fires are helped out immediately. Over all Cuba would be a hard town to beat as far as great towns to live in."
