What Locals Say about Hutchinson
- Mechellecaprez

"Nothing. It’s not unique at all. Ordinary busy street. There is nothing special about it. I’d like to move to a more residential low traffic area but have not been able to find affordable housing anywhere in the city. Rental rates are completely out of control. You can afford to move "

"I’ve been living in Hutchinson for 2 years going on 3 and it’s pretty peaceful here, no bad neighbors nor vandalism in the area, also most of the shops you need are all super close to the house. "

"If you are a dog owner, a lot of the houses don't have fencing I think. They are older houses and so they are also smaller. I have a dog, but she is a small dog. Not a big problem, but some people have great danes, and they won't be able to fit in the house. It is a friendly neighborhood, dog-walking wise, and the dogs that I have seen are mostly trained."

"The only con I see to having a dog in hutch is. there Is a lot of farm and city to get lost in. As long as they are trained you should be in the clear "

"Since I have moved in, all my neighbors have been so kind. It really is a nice quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend living up here. I am so glad that I kept looking for over a year to find this house. It is perfect. Close enough to Dillons and WalMart but far enough away from a lot of people. There are several schools that are close by. There is a beautiful park just south of the house. Even though the street is busy, it is so quiet."

"I have lived here since I have been born, and I feel it is safe, and I pick up after my dog and I trick or treat here so, I feel that this is a good neighborhood."

"We have none.... everyone is sketchy and keeps to themselves. There is a baseball field across from me "
- Christina B.

"It’s a mess overall; people, surrounding houses, socially and emotionally. It’s a decent city. It’s the people that make it disgusting. You can live in a beautiful house with a beautiful yard and a beautiful family but the community will still be utter trash. "

"The town is not too big but it is not super small. I usually drive for 10 minutes when I get in my car to go to work or the store and I live close to the middle of town. There are plenty of ways to get around town. "
- Ramona E.

" Too many speeding vehicles, running stop signs even the cops. Too many drugs, loud parties under age drinking."

- Kerry W. R.

"I love my neighborhood because it's on the outskirts of the city and fees like we live in the. country. the houses are not super close together. "

"People don’t bother with you. We have only one neighbor and we talk over the fence. They have a lot of cats and none of them have ever had any vetting. A new litter of kittens every Six months. "
