8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is way over rated here on Great schools especially with Pender County passing a new bond for more elementary and middle schools. The past super Dr.H has a professional study done and the school is already overcrowded, the teachers do not get paid well and by 2030-31 the school will have over 36% more students because of the over building here! There is no funding by the county for sports or extra activities, staff changes often due to poor wages and ultimately the kids suffer. They do not support children with learning disabilities (there is no special ed), the staff and SROs do not do their jobs, and here it is all about how much money you have will determine your social class or how you are treated!Parent Review1mo ago - Topsail Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am still a student here at TMs, and honestly, I hate it, it is so racist and the rules are stupid and they are very poor. They have mold in the bathrooms, and with tests, they do not take it seriously at all, all they do is joke around. One of my teachers tries to bribe you with prizes, pizza and candy just so we can get a better score.Student Review1y ago - South Topsail Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at STES for 4 years now and we have always loved the school!! Teachers and staff have always been very welcoming! We have LOVED each and every teacher we have had! My son was challenged on certain subjects he excelled at... If I didn't feel like he was challenged enough I simply picked an activity for us to do at home. As a parent I am involved beyond helping my kid with "just his homework"... We have been very pleased! Those that comment on the "being on the in crowd" I just don't see that??? Try volunteering or get involved... I can not be that active in school because of work, but when I get a chance I just go...after all you are there for you child not some social high school gathering, so why care what others are doing?? I think the opportunities for parent involvement was great! Communication between teacher/parent/student/ and school is organized. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! I have nothing bad to say! I have never had a problem with any one so I can't comment on what others have said. The Music teacher is AWESOME and the teachers that we had (Christian for K, Bridgers-1st, Rosenstock-2nd) Were GREAT!!!Parent Review10y ago - Pender Early College High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePender Early College is the best school in Pender County. In it's first graduating class alone, students have all been accepted to competitive universities including Harvard University, and received pretigious scholarships such as the Morehead-Cain scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill. This can't be said for other schools in Pender County.Parent Review14y ago - Check out schools near 105 Highway 18 Trl #1.
