8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA private school quality education in a public school. AME is consistently one of the top two elementary schools in Manatee County. Middle school teachers say that the kids coming out of AME are much better prepared and ahead of many of the students from other elementary schools. The teachers are absolutely fabulous and care about their students. The PTO steps up and raises a lot of money to offset what the school doesn't receive from the county. The whole experience is rare and special.Other Review7y ago - Manatee High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAWFUL!!!! Students with IEP are bullied by teachers and teachers do not follow IEP steps put in place. Instead a child or parent have to remind them almost BEG them to give the help needed. Any child struggling will definitely fall through the cracks.Parent Review5y ago - Martha B. King Middle School

"Our little 7 mile Island has 3 towns, City of Anna mAria, Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach. As long as you get "On island time" when you're here you'll LOVE it. Go to the beach, take the trolley to go shopping or to eat, don't drive around!!"

"I have lived on the island in the past & know it well. This is a great location, walk to restaurants, shops, library. No bridges and a short boat ride down the canal to the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. "

"Family has lived here since the mid-60's. The island still has the old-town Fl feel...no huge commercial growth! Restaurants, entertainment and shopping within walking distance. The people are friendly and pleasant. Public trolley available to get around the island. Sunset views simply cannot be beat!!!"

"I have lived here at Island Village on Holmes beach since 1992...it's a beautiful community directly across the street from the public beach with white sandy beaches, blue assure waters...colorful sky scapes"
- Peggy b.

"Palm Harbor Subdivision is just a five minute walk from EVERYTHING. There is a Publix grocery store, CVS and Walgreens, great coffee, salons and even church, but most importantly, THE BEACH. It is a great communting area because you can get to I75 in 20 minutes. "

"I lived on this street years ago. The view is now blocked by the next streets put in behind it blocking water views. The golf course is there so the homes get hit constantly with golf balls. Believe me, I lived there for 4 years! Windows were broken Dings into the side, front and front door etc. I would go deeper in for better views or to the very end of the streets. Schools are not good, I don't recommend the area for families with young children. Just my opinion but my children went to private schools. Pricey home without a pool. I can't believe there's no pool."
