Neighborhood Description

Located in an area called Glen Cove, which is a community on the border of Benicia and Vallejo, own a home on the waterfront, on a private road, in the Marina Estates. The Marina Estates overlooks a marina on one side, and the Carquinez Strait on the other side. Pacific walking trail and fishing areas encircle the Marina Estates. Very secluded, peaceful, and quiet area. Marina has historical lighthouse with cafe and yacht club. Prevailing winds are from the west in the Carquinez Straits, particularly during the summer.During summer and fall months, high pressure offshore, coupled with thermal low pressure in the
Central Valley, caused by high inland temperatures, sets up a pressure pattern that draws marine air eastward through the Carquinez Straits almost everyday. This makes any air pollution flow east of the area, keeping the air quality here great. Beautiful at night, seeing all the lights from Crockett, just across the water, and Martinez in the distance. Sit on the deck at night and see the moon reflected on the water. Watch all the sailboats and big tankers go by from Martinez to the SF bay...or take your own boat from the marina out into the San Franscisco bay, or drive 20 minutes to Napa, the beautiful wine country...a beautiful location!
