4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is wild, but at least it's true. This school is a mix of backgrounds and personalities, which is both good, okay, and bad. Yes, this school has "dangers," but if you do something before it does, it would be so much safer. I say this because most students here want to deal with their issues themselves, but it ends up being a mess. This school is good if you make an effort to report things you see that may endanger someone else. This school does NOT mess around when they hear a student is struggling with something, or has an issue with someone (family, friends, peers), the school will help you. This school makes an effort to help students be safe and happy, but they can only do that IF you make an effort to tell a staff member that something is going on. This school makes an effort to make sure it's safe, friendly, non-toxic, and so much more, but they need students' help with reporting something before the issue gets worse. OH, and this school has a great education system, but you do have to remind ur student if they're struggling to ask for help! The teachers here will help you (yes, even the strict ones!).Student Review5mo ago4 Reviews - Polytechnic High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLong Beach Poly is the pride and joy of Long Beach. It is a school that encourages the creativity and growth of its diverse student body from many different backgrounds. All teachers in every pathway are among the best you will ever find. From supporting nearly 4,100 students, all teachers are incredibly helpful and truly want their students to grow not just academically; but provide guidance for building character. All faculty and staff are kind, warm, and truly show what being a Jackrabbit is. Right when you walk into this school, you can tell how the student body and all staff are truly proud to be at Poly and be a Jackrabbit.Student Review5mo ago12 Reviews - Stevenson Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI didn’t know what to expect when my child started kindergarten, but this is an absolutely outstanding school. My child is in their final year and has had an exceptional experience. The teachers are all top tier. They’ve been working together for many years and they have so much love for the students and families and our community. Being at Stevenson has been an amazing experience for my family. The school is a community in itself and I am so thankful for the care they take in educating my child and helping me raise her as a lifelong learner.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 1035 E Appleton St #6.

"Lots of dogs everywhere so if you have a social pup it’s great! However you do have to occasionally deal with poor pet parenting like dogs off leash and don’t recall, not picking up poop, etc."

"It’s not safe at all anymore. My brothers car has been stolen. My car has been left open now because they’ve broken into it like 5 times. It’s dirty now with a lot of homeless people and scary people on drugs."

"It’s okay…. Plenty of dogs in the downtown area. A decent amount of restaurants and personally owned stores might keep a bowl of water outside."

"A lot of people don’t pick up their dog poop. So they might get the blame for it from other people. Also there are bags of dog poop laying all over from people picking it up then not disposing of it correctly. Dog owners might like the dog/parks close by!"

"You see other dog owners all the time walking their dogs and they have nearby dog parks for dogs to meet other dogs and play with. Also a lot of people that love seeing dogs all around the neighborhood, people are just friendly when it comes to having dogs around so that is an upside for dog owners when living in the downtown area."
