Vintage accents and rustic charms set a welcoming tone at this 1920s Craftsman Bungalow with ADU potential near the Lower Riviera. The spacious 3BD/2.5BA home of 1,634 sq ft is replete with warmth and personality, with such features as a covered veranda facing the Riviera, a tongue-and-groove-paneled office, a clawfoot tub in the guest bathroom, and a freestanding stove next to a cozy window nook adding romantic appeal. The primary suite comprises the second story and enjoys plentiful light and neighborhood views, along with a walk-in closet. The main level offers a few flexible spaces, including a family room and adjacent library-esque corridor once used as a hobby room. A small porch off the kitchen and breakfast area leads to a backyard deck enveloped by lemon and grapefruit trees, as well as garden beds. And across the sunny lounge area, a permitted detached workshop with half bath and bonus room provides plenty of storage space - or wonderful potential for an ADU. Situated a few blocks from Trader Joe's, Los Agaves, brunch restaurant The Shop, and the Santa Barbara Bowl, enjoy the radiant energy of this emerging neighborhood and all downtown has to offer.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRoosevelt has truly excelled in fostering a wonderful community and supporting children's development through fun and engaging programs. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a good school for students who aren't White or Hispanic. Asian, Biracial and Black kids are seriously bullied and singled out. Not only by students but by staff as well. This school sits high on the systemic racism wagon. The principals blame the victim and not the abusers at this school. God forbid if the abuser is white. The teachers are pretty bad when it comes to teaching and explaining things to students. I have one child that has graduated and two still enrolled. I hear some of the worst stories from my children and after having conversations with the school I feel like there is no hope until they get rid of leadership.Parent Review2y ago - Santa Barbara Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI gave this three stars because my daughter was happy there, socially. Not a great school for high achievers. Mixed bag of teachers and an absolutely terrible principal that should be replaced. He's apathetic and unapologetically dismissive with parents and students. I noticed in earlier reviews that parents loved the principal, however those reviews were PRIOR to Principal Lito M. Garcia being appointed to this position in May of 2011. The school tends to focus on bringing the bottom up to improve school test scores, and doesn't provide much support or encouragement for good students to reach beyond the formulaic and unchallenging Honor's classes..Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 1030 E Ortega St.

"In the neighborhood I am currently living in, the streets surrounding my apartment are very busy all hours of the day. Although, there are quite a few parks to drive to just a few minutes away that are dog friendly and plenty of hiking trails to drive to on the weekends. "
