Personally I think I've had the best experience in this school out of all the other schools I've attended here in California, as well as back in my home country. It might not be fair to compare schools in Glendale and the post-soviet elementary schools from my childhood to a neat and well funded school in Irvine, but I truly didn't have that many negative experiences here (by my own standards). Frankly though, if you were to ask some of my friends and peers, they might give you a very different answer, but that's their story to tell and not mine.

This has been the most heartbreaking and infuriating school experience we've ever had.In my experience, the school fosters a toxic environment where children who are bullied receive little to no support—until they finally defend themselves. Then, suddenly, the roles are reversed, and that child is treated like a threat.Instead of helping, they isolate children—pulling them out of class, punishing them publicly, and creating emotional humiliation in front of their peers. They don’t just discipline privately—they make sure every child knows who’s “in trouble,” and then it doesn’t stop there. It seems as though they go out of their way to make sure parents know too—often by mentioning specific children by name, which raises serious privacy concerns and feels completely unacceptable.It felt like once your child was marked as “the problem,” they were treated as less-than human. The school didn’t just ignore the emotional abuse—they taught my child that being mistreated was normal. And when my child finally responded out of frustration and pain, they turned the entire narrative on us.There also appears to be a pattern of violating privacy—openly discussing children’s issues with other parents, which only fuels gossip, conflict, and retaliation. It’s as if they want to put a target on your child's back, so everyone knows “who the bad kid is.” It creates fear and shame for a child who should instead be supported and guided.This year has been traumatic, not just for our child—but for us as parents. We came to this school with hope and trust. We’re leaving with deep disappointment, heartbreak, and concern for any other family who might go through what we did.If you care about your child’s emotional safety, please think very carefully before enrolling here.
