  • Tammy Pearce
"The neighborhood is dog friendly and people are always walking their dogs. They are welcome at any outdoor venue. "
  • Tammy Pearce
"It’s a pet friendly community but doesn’t have a dog park. I think this would make it more pet friendly community. "
  • Regina L.
"It’s a nice sized town, the people are friendly and it’s conveniently located just a little over an hour away from Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis."
  • Keith A.
"Conveniently close to groceries restaurants gas stations and many other businesses. The nickel plate trail is just one block away."
  • Tena W.
"There is no public transportation here. If you do not have a car...you are forced to walk. But it is a little dinky town so it is fine to walk. "
  • Kecaldwell3
"Stray cats that are in town are a problem for dog owners. There is also no dog park located in Peru. "
  • Emily F.
"we have many places for dog owners to walk their dogs like Riverwalk, maconaquah park, nickle plate trail"
  • Amberrhymer2925
"The streets here are very friendly and good for walking dogs at any time of the day, or night. However, there are a LOT of stray cats, so if your dog is a cat chaser you may need to keep him/her on a tight leash. And keep them up to date with vaccinations. "
  • Christie B.
"Dog owners may like that there is a walking trail that is dog friendly within walking distance of neighborhood homes. "
  • Brian G.
"I visit Peru regularly and I know this area. nice quiet, safe area, clean and close to many things. I would live here if I was near the area. Maybe I will someday. I recommend Peru or its diversity and small town feel!"
