6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Rustburg high school until my senior year, I had to get out. The teachers were all very sweet, but some were highly inappropriate. I thought the principals handled everything in a bad manner. The students were always fighting, the food was served in poor quality, and everything about this school never defined success. The dropout rate increased, there were about 30 pregnant teenagers a year, Rustburg high school should be shut down or replace some faculty.Student Review13y ago - Rustburg Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been attending this school for 4 years now and has had a difficult journey. We (parents) have advocated for her in many ways including paying for outside tutoring, asking for help from teachers, staff, principal, asst. principal and now we have her enrolled in the day treatment and title 1 program. We take extra time to study with her nightly and encourage good listening skills at school. We have her in outside counseling to help with self esteem and the bullying that continues to go on here, however, her grades continue to drop and noone in this school seems to care enough to offer her extra one on one time for learning. Now the problem I believe is that they have to wait until the afternoon to teach math, science and history and the time is limited. If there were more teachers implemented in this school to work more individually with children that have adhd such as mine they would succeed more and be more willing to come to school. I believe if these children had more time and one on one teaching they would see a tremendous improvement in there ability to retain the information and better test scores.Give them the funding for more adhd teachers Campbell County!Parent Review10y ago - Rustburg Middle School

"it's a dog friendly community which is great. I have a dog and love all dogs but I feel like I'm the only one that actually picks up after their dog. I get the fact that it's gross and all, but if you can't simply pick up after your dog then maybe you shouldn't have one. "

"I would say it's pretty good place. Naturally, as most places have, there are some creeps around every now n then. They're pretty easy to ignore though. it's also kinda hard to find homes if you want to stay in one district. So you probably should get over that little detail. they have like 5 different schools in one city. I DON'T GET IT."

"There are nice parks in the area. Certain neighborhoods are a bit sketchy but most of the city is very safe. Many people keep to themselves while being open to conversation when engaged. Downtown is really on the rise with renovation and new business. The city and surrounding county schools provide sound education with an impressive focus on special needs and vocational excellence."

"Free dog bags are available. Dog owners are friendly. Although most dog owners pickup, sadly there are still the few who don’t. This makes it bad for everyone else who try to keep the place healthy and clean. The city workers do a great job to add new dirt from time to time which helps a lot."
