Description

Bright & Modern Studio Apartment in Downtown Truckee 31-Day Stay, could be extended

Located right along the river in the heart of Downtown Truckee, this modern studio apartment is a light-filled, peaceful retreat. Built in 2021 using recycled materials and designed with artistic flair, the unit sits privately above our garage feeling more like a cozy treehouse with tranquil river views.

Just steps from local restaurants and shops and only a mile from the hospital, the location offers the perfect balance of convenience and serenity. Guests have direct access to the river from the backyard ideal for relaxing in the provided chairs by the water.

The Space
This private studio is clean, bright, and thoughtfully furnished. It features:

A comfortable bed with a latex mattress topper

Radiant in-floor heating

On-demand hot water

A compact balcony/deck

Fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook meals

High-speed internet, a TV with Netflix and MAX

Fresh linens and towels provided

All utilities are included just bring your suitcase and settle in.

About Us
We live full-time in the main house below. We're a mostly retired, long-time Truckee couple who love biking and skiing. You may occasionally hear us in the garage, but we're generally quiet and respectful of your privacy. While we may cross paths now and then, interaction is minimal unless you'd like to connect.

We also have a room we do rent on Airbnb called the Truckee River Bike House. If you google that, you can see we've been renting it for about 8 years and have about 750 reviews, 4.93 stars out or 5 stars as we try to make it a great space and take good care of it, plus the amazing location.

Please Note

The train does pass across the street you'll likely notice it at first, but most guests find they tune it out quickly.

There is no washer/dryer in the unit, but a local laundromat offers drop-off service (typically with a few days' turnaround).

Due to town regulations, we can only rent for a minimum of 31 days.

We prefer not to commit to longer stays since the space is used by our daughter when she visits. (She's a helicopter pilot based in Alaska and may be back in October but plans can change.)

Ideal Tenant
We're hoping to host a quiet, responsible individual ideally a traveling nurse or working professional. Preference given to single occupants (no pets), preferably female.

Terms

Monthly rent plus a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent

Deposit returned at check-out, provided the space is left clean and in good condition

This is a truly special spot in Truckee, and we'd love to share it with someone who appreciates its charm. Please reach out if you're interested!

All utilities are included. We need a minimum 31 day rental period as the Town of Truckee requires that. We would actually like to rent it out for 31 days at a time. We don't really want to commit to more than that in case we our daughter comes home and needs a place to stay.

  • Daniel Ricciato
"I live about 150 miles away so my commute would be quite arduous if I lived here full time. That being said I suppose I could take a private plane and then it would be quite enjoyable."

"Truckee is a great place to have a dog or multiple dogs. There are national parks and open spaces where dogs can run off leash safely without the danger of cars. If you don’t have a tracker or if your dog doesn’t return on command then you might want to think about keeping them on a leash. There is a lot of wild life to make your dog run off and get lost. "
  • Your F. W.
"This is a dog friendly area. It is safe to walk with animals and safe to do so. Unfortunately the street can be Busy "
