Soy Colombiana, llegue hace 6 meses los USA, mi experiencia con esta escuela no ha sido la.mejor, la profesora ni los padres tenemos comunicacion alguna entre nosotros, siento un poco discriminacion porque mi hijo no habla ingles y auque esta haciendo su mejor esfuerzo no es una muy buena escuela, mi hijo esta en primero y estoy esperando sacarlo ahora a finales de octubre y moverlo a una nueva escuela.

This school is not bad, however it is not great.For starting there was construction going on for forever and we were in a temporary school that was not that big. Yes we have a brand new school next year not to mention the 8th graders from last year are gone.But continuing, there were a lot of fights, things involved with authorities, people getting hurt often, so much screaming and to many people crowding. It was the definition of unsafe. The teachers are OK but need work and there was little family involvement. Hopefully next year will be better.

As a student of GHS, I believe serious changes should be made. There is mold in some of the bathrooms and classrooms, and the school often smells like the sewer. That’s not a healthy environment for students or staff.Since the new principal arrived, pep rallies have been taken away, making the school feel more like a boot camp than a place for learning and connection. School is meant for education, yes, but it should also be positive and memorable experience for teenagers. We deserve a balance between learning and enjoyment.It also feels like teachers aren’t being properly supported, and changes only happen when parents step in. As this is my last year, I wanted it to be one I could remember fondly, but instead, it feels depressing and dull.GHS needs improvements: more parking spaces, cleaner facilities, better maintenance , and the return of fun activities that bring students together — like pep rallies. If so much is being taken away, at least give us that. Students deserve a safe, fun, and motivating environment to learn in.
