4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend that any child attend this school. This school is unsafe and dangerous for children, as there is no punishment for bullying. We are new to this area, and my 7th grader was assaulted in the bathroom during PE by a student much larger than him. My son reported it to the counselors and principal and they did nothing. He was afraid to return to school because they would not suspend or expel the student who attacked him. In the end, we had to homeschool our child for the rest of the school year. When we mentioned not bringing our child back to school, the principal (Seana Condit) was only concerned about him missing state testing. She had zero concern for the safety of children at this school. The student who assaulted my son is still on campus.Parent Review10mo ago - Cherryland Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI did not go to this school, but my little sister does. This year they have had at-home schooling because of COVID19. The things I have heard from my sisters teacher are truly appalling. I had a Teachers-conference with Ms.Azania (the teacher) explaining to her that my sister appears to be at first grade level, and she is in fourth grade. Her response was, she won't hold any children back, because "she doesn't want them to feel depressed." Don't you think, when these students are seniors and they have to take a freshman math class, they won't feel depressed? On another instance, I have heard this teacher bringing politics into the classroom various times. To nine and ten year olds. What place does a nine year old have saying, "The insurrection of the capital was a terrorist attack!" and having the teacher say, "Wow! Thats great!" Since when do we teach politics to children? And teach them that there are more than two genders? Or teach and explain to them what suicide is? Instead of focusing on basic skills like English, Math, Reading, the teachers would rather bring politics into the school and teach the children about race, and inequality. How will you ever expect these kids to succeed if a ten year old is being taught, "orange man bad" instead of "8x7"? I even called the principal and he was not much help. Told me, I could not meet with the teacher, only the parents could call a meeting. I will not be sending any of my children to this school and I suggest you do the same.Parent Review3y ago - Hayward High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my children have excelled at Hayward High. My daughter is now entering her sophomore year at UC Berkeley and my son is definitely UC bound. Their AP program is excellent and prepped my daughter well for the academic curriculum at Berkeley. Just stay in your kid's "business", make sure they take challenging courses, stay respectful of their teachers and participate in sports or other clubs and your children will do well.Parent Review9mo ago - Strobridge Elementary School

"Fairview is a beautiful area, but we have an unusually high percentage of retired folks. Most are friendly and great neighbors, but there is a group of bullies that like to cause problems with the working age residents. If you chose to buy a house here, meet all your potential neighbors before you make that offer."

"i have no idea they do different fun stuff each year. Hayward is really nice in this area and there are alot of schools, my best friend and i would take her brother and sister to school everyday and we'd have to go down mission and as long as your up in time traffic isnt to bad, only around 730-830am and 3-630pm is when the traffics the worsed. Theres also a couple of really big colleges around her that have lots to offer and tons of student housing. All down mission theres tons of shops and thirft stores and a very diverse group of restaurants and fast food all over. i personally love Just Potato Salad And So Much More. It's a little down mission next to Burger King, and it's great. It's definitely a must to try when you're here. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for three years. It's a mix of commercial and residential. While it would be nice to have some grocery stores and other food related businesses, it's not too far of a drive from downtown. Good distance from some hiking spots with great views of the east bay too."
