5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis School is terrible as a student here I feel that this school is not a safe place for minorities witch many I am a part of and do not try to help those who are in need and I do not feel like that I would be safe here without loads of protection and it. makes be scared to be myself.Other Review2y ago - Minooka Jr High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student here, and I would like to say that the teachers here are very noteworthy. They all feel like their own people with very fleshed-out personalities and that greatly contributed to creating an engaging in-class experience. Each class felt like a different territory, a new world, and I had fun with all of them, from the goofballs and the comedians to the warm and nerdy...However, I can't say anything else is super great. The school is very overcrowded, bullying runs rampant and staff does nothing to address it. I was a scrawny kid who got pushed around by jocks (literally- going to class is a fight for your life) and openly insulted. Hate circles the hallways like the wind. Fights break out weekly, and the populars (mainly boys) who think they own the place make sure that everyone KNOWS that they own the place. I felt constantly unsafe in the building. The school tries its best to offer mental/emotional support, but, in my experience, they actually just make things worse. "Confidential" information gets relayed to several people.Great teachers, awful students and no attempts to correct them.Other Review1mo ago - Minooka Community High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to Minooka for the schools. It kinda reminded me of an early Plainfield. Then plainfield became overcrowded in the schools and bussed in low income from other areas. There is a lot of favoritism in the Minooka school system and the surrounding areas as well. Worst decision I made was to move to this school district.Parent Review8mo ago - Jones Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been nothing short of amazing at educating and engaging my three kids. My kids love going to school and oftentimes want to come back and visit their teachers. I felt like they had a variety of activities to bring the community together with the school. I know that the teachers really care about their kids and do a great job planning engaging lessons and communicating with parents.Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 1018 Jewelflower Ln.

"what's nice about the Ridgewood area there are two really different areas east of Bridge Street and West of Bridge Street the section west of Brick Street is in unincorporated Joliet Township which is also known as Joliet. But it's like a Hidden Gem the values have not risen crazy high Pilcher Park Nature Center Highland Park Frisbee golf and bird Haven Park higginbottom Woods are all nearby as well as the Woodruff golf course. Houses don't come up for sale very often and let's hope the values don't creep up to crazy"

"the yards are on the large side, lots of trees, park is right there ,Highland Park and Pilcher Park as well the Nature Center. plenty of space to walk your dog. people mind their pets. It's unneighborly to leave your dog unattended while it barks."

"There are neighbors that don’t have their pets on a leash and let them roam the neighborhood pooping on everyone’s lawn or urinating the tires of your car; their pets are out all night barking and don’t let their pets inside despite the cold weather. Recommend having a fence up or you will be picking up feces regularly."

"This neighborhood is fairly close to RT. 59 and black road which are two major roads in the area. There’s multiple ways to access these roads too and plenty of gas stations, dinning options and Walgreens/CVS near by. 10/10 recommend "

"There is a walking trail that is about 13 miles long with parks at different entrances and this trail goes through forests. Nice to walk your dog. One of the parks at an entrence of the trail is a dog park and it tends to be busy, usually plenty of other dogs there. You do have to pay a fee however to bring your dog here."
