What Locals Say about Chinatown

  • Heather J. C.
"wide sidewalks, but no obvious places or patches of grass to stop at. lots of foot traffic and vehicles, so be careful."
  • Skysayuri20
"It's a great if you love the city scene. You can walk everywhere. There's all sorts of food, shopping and nightlife. Parks, museums, theater and with overhaul of the gallery coming soon; There's an endless supply of amenities to keep you entertained. Public Transportation hubs are all centered here if you need to get anywhere else. "
  • Khadijah A.
"dogs seem to be welcome & they would love to be here.., but there's no yards so dogs might not like that"
  • F.B.
"It's a fun place to live that always has something happening. There are lots of restaurants and dessert places within walking distance and events that happen throughout the area that keep the place interesting. Chinatown is in a central location that makes accessing the city that much better."
  • F.B.
"Any of the Chinatown parades. There's the annual night market on 10th street that's fun. It's also close to Penn's Landing and City Hall, so there is always something to find nearby"
  • F.B.
"My favorite part about living in Chinatown is that I am able to walk everywhere! I live less than 10 minutes from work, and I am able to walk there. I can also walk to go out, to get groceries, or to head to the library. Jefferson station, MFL, Greyhound, and bus stops are also very accessible from Chinatown, which is awesome."
  • Lily L.
"This is a great area to be exposed to and learn about other cultures."
  • Lily L.
"Chinese holidays: lunar new year, dragon boat festival, mid-autumn festival"
  • Lily L.
"You can walk to and from everywhere in Philly from here."
  • Sandy Y.

  • Sandy Y.
"It's an older neighborhood with a tourist scene."
  • Sandy Y.
"not many events but would be ok since theres not much space"
  • Sandy Y.
