  • Tsfrieson
"Good walking trails to take walks and walk your day. Safe to have the pets in the back yard. As long as it is not at night or very early morning. "
  • Tsfrieson
"I am sure of all of the events that are in the neighborhood. They have parks and pools other neighboring neighborhoods have events that you can attend"
  • Trulia User
"People speed on this street everyday. I don’t feel safe letting my kids play outside because I’m worried someone will run them over. "
  • Castroo281
"We do out door activities. There are multiple areas of opportunity to serve your local community. There is a no kill shelter and there are a number of other options for you and your pet. There is public library available to the local community. There are many options for worship in the area and opportunities to volunteer and assist with activities in the community. "
  • Zigmister65
"Great schools and safe neighborhoods. HOA’s seem reasonable and most neighborhoods are well established "
  • Neal E.
"Great neighborhood. You always see people walking and everyone is friendly. The houses for the most part are well maintained. "
  • Brett B
"4th of July Parade and Festival of Angels in early December are unique city events that attract many of the city’s residents. Schertz is more than just a safe community with convenient access to everything; it still feels like a small town here in most parts, though rapidly advancing development along FM3009 and points East is leading to big city headaches like traffic congestion, especially at drive times"
  • Teresa B.
"We’ve lived in Schertz for 10 years and it’s both diverse and cohesive. There are many military families that retire to this community. Jonas Woods is a great neighborhood. "
  • Jccavanagh
"Safe neighborhood and friendly neighbors. We have great walking trails and location. The pool is relaxing and having the food trucks come and every so often a band is the best!"
  • Haiylee D. .
"I always see people walking/running with their dogs and the dogs are so friendly and always seem to have a blast. The dogs are always on a leash and there are water fountains for people and dogs that are working and always seem to be in a good clean condition. "
  • Jessica K.
"Close to 35 and easy to get around as long as 3009 isn’t congested. Traffic can be bad in the mornings but once you get to 35 it doesn’t take long."
  • Brett.berg
"Wide sidewalks, other dog owners are respectful of leash laws and clean up after themselves. There are numerous trash receptacles along Schertz Pkwy for owners to place their waste bags"
  • Isabella R.
"people seem to clean up after their dogs and they usually keep to themselves. i appreciate those things. "
  • T M.
"The commute is terrible to the highway. No public transportation. There are ride share programs. But over the years traffic gets worse and worse. "
  • Neal E.
"Friendly and safe neighborhood. Over all the houses and front yards are well maintained. Old trees around the neighborhood. You always see people walking, running, biking or walking their dogs at all times of the day. "
  • Lorennacardenas
"I always see neighbors walking their dogs around the neighborhood and even on the main road outside the subdivision that has wide sidewalks and a water fountain for the pets in a designated area :) "
  • Ally.duchemin
"It’s a bit of a drive but I genuinely like Schertz-Cibolo area. Traffic on 35 is horrible at almost anytime of the day, I do wish TXDOT had a game plan that would be sooner vs later. "
  • Leslie G.
"town is over run by too many new neighborhoods.... it's ugly... it's just an invite to more crime and trashy areas...."
  • Adan G.
"Commute is not bad around schertz but a commute from Schertz to interstate 35 and on to San antonio is difficult."
  • Ashmay04
"Great schools, safe neighborhood, low HOA fees, community pool. We’ve had no issues in the 3+ years we’ve lived here."
  • Artcgom1964
"any event, any time of any day people great you or say Hi or even just wave when you pass by. It's a great feeling of acceptance and happiness while being outdoors Just Awesome! Its Home. "
  • Pam H.
"I love this town. Everything you need is close by. Homes are nice, neighbors are friendly. I feel safe here. Animal friendly."
  • Suzy M.
"Lots of Home Owners Association rules, but an awesome place to live! Very safe and fantastic schools. Live here if you get the chance. They keep developing this area with more and more to offer!"
  • Friday Y.
"Car is the main source of transportation or you gotta carpool via park ’n ride. Bus has not quite making its way here yet. Motorcycles and cycles are not as popular but they are around. The rush hours require extra half an hour or more. Compare to ten years ago, the automobile volume has increased tremendously. The housing and developments are popping up in drove. This area and surrounding are growing fast but it still has its suburbia charm. Outside of rush hours, traffic is still pretty nice. Most conveniences are nearby so commute is not lengthy."
  • Phinsfan
"Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Great little town with that fun and special atmosphere. Schertz is not afraid to grow."
  • Pdayisgreat
"I understand the elementary school just across the street is great. I know the neighborhood is relatively quiet and kid friendly. I love my house and the neighbors. "
  • Trulia User
"Quite min lights, the farms & cows around and a sense of being in a country side yet still close to access main road ads and city is SA. "
  • Trey
"We celebrate every holiday as a community. It’s also a very safe environment with low traffic and great amenities "
  • Ercatalkzalot
"The area is really taking off. New stores and restaurants are popping up everywhere and a great military community! The commute to downtown on a good day is about 35-45 minutes. But you’re also close to New Braunfels/Gruene too!"
  • Phinsfan
"Close to work at Randolph AFB. No nearby restaurant but within driving distance. Traffic flows very good both directions. Not a bad location to downtown San Antonio with easy access to IH 10"
  • Gottasing
"City of Schertz hosts 4 large events annually. Stores and most needs in easy reach. Friendly neighbors. "
  • Dtristan1971
"people are always out walking their dogs. people are very friendly to others with pets. almost all of the pet owners pick up after their animals when walking them."
  • D68shelby
"Convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, and everything else without having to into San Antonio city limits. But close enough to San Antonio for sports events, restaurants, city entertainment "
  • Reynacrystal94
"Area is very safe, park is walking distance. Lots of cute bunnies hopping around and great neighbors. "
