"Definitely safe for kids. Schools nearby. But a bit of traffic in the area at rush hour. Lots of dog walking and running in the area as well."

"Easy. I just started a new job and have an approximately 1.4 mile drive to work. Takes me about five or six minutes. There is usually not much traffic just one school to go by which has a little congestion in the morning. Besides that my commute is very easy and comfortable. I do not want to move far away from where I am now because I want to stay close to my job."

"My neighborhood is very pet friendly. many people have dogs and cats and walk both on leashes! Everyone picks up after their animal, they also have bag caddies placed throughout the area to make it easy. Also, many restaurants and stores downtown alow your babies to shop and dine with their owners. Pets are also welcome at festivals and events downtown. There are also several shops that provide dog biscuits treats and water to their customers fuzzy babies. Yes, Livermore is a great place to have a pet. I love it here and so do my dogs!"

"Love living here! My only complaint is how expensive everything is here compared to other large city suburbs. Moved here from a place by Seattle and the rent and cost of living is at least twice the amount here than in my cozy place right on the waters of the Puget Sound. And the area is comparible to the lovely area I lived in Washington. It's not on the water, but it is in wine country and close to San Francisco. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to live with downtown festivals and events, theater; both movie and live performances, great shopping, farmers markets and surrounded by amazing wineries! You just can't go wrong here in Livermore, CA "

"Although a bit overpriced and cost of living is high, but in this case you get what you pay for... where I live off Railroad Ave I am within walking distance of almost anything I want or need. well maintained roads and sidewalks that are well marked and lit make it easy to get around. walking to events downtown or to the movies or a night out for great food and drinks becomes something that is perfered and not a necessity.. Traffic is good inside the city, but during rush hour the interstates and state routes are backed up. As everyone is comutting to and from San Francisco. Being around 50 miles from San Francisco makes it a great location if you work in the city. But traffic is a huge factor and you must leave a couple hours early to account for travel time. Livermore is also home to many amazing wineries! My only complaint is the wineries close too early, rolling up the carpets around 4pm or 5pm. putting the closing time at the start of the rush hour. But could have many weekends of exploring different vineyards via the wine trolly or taxi servie or Uber/Lyft and never get to them all... But you'll have a great time trying. "
