About this House

Beautiful farmhouse located in rural setting only 10 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor. This historic farm house is located on Urquhart's Christmas Tree Farm less than 4 miles from the Baker Road Exit of I-94. We kept all of the farm house charm and added lots of modern amenities, including a large master suite with en-suite bathroom. Witness beautiful sunrises and sunsets and enjoy the best of country living without giving up the conveniences of city life.

An ideal fit for us is someone willing lease through the spring or summer of 2027 - but we will consider a lease ending in the spring or summer of 2026.

The property has high speed wired internet available through Midwest Energy Communication.

Only utilities are electric and propane. Propane can be pricy in the winter but with no water and sewer bill it kind of evens out. All pets are case by case, we want to meet them and get to know them before we say yes. If you are interested please contact me first, rather than asking to see it. I am going to vet prospective tenants and only show the place to prospects who seem like a perfect fit. You will appreciate that approach if you are ever a tenant of mine.

There is no attached garage but we have several garage stalls available in an adjacent barn if storage space is needed (those would be an additional charge of $25 per month per stall).

While the setting is always beautiful, prospects should be aware that the barn and property set behind the house is used actively for running Christmas tree farm, which can be lots of fun to watch - even if it gets a little chaotic in the weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

There is no smoking in the house.

    "Chelsea is an absolutely idyllic community. The downtown is something out of a movie set. The homes and yards have old charm, but are incredibly well kept. The schools are great, the people are friendly and the town provides access to culture with places like the Purple Rose and easy access to many great restaurants and pubs (Common Grill, Smokehouse 52, Cleary's, etc). There's even a fun hipster seen with Zou Zou's and Back to the Roots. If you have kids, you can take them to Timber Town for endless hours of free entertainment. What's not to love?!?"
