This BR fits a queen size bed, dresser, and TV. The room also has a decent sized closet - about 4 feet and 4 feet deep. The condo is the top floor of a converted corner row home. Hardwood floors and tall ceilings throughout the living area with lots of space, including an attic for storage that we all use. This room shares the bathroom with one other roommate (a girl). The bathroom was gutted and renovated in January with a walk-in shower, new sink and vanity, and recessed lighting.
Location:
* 3 blocks from Eastern Market,
* 5 blocks from the Eastern Market Metro (Blue, Orange, Silver Lines)
* 1 block west of Lincoln Park
* 20 minute walk to the Capitol Bldg.,
* 15 minute walk to H Street Bars & Restaurants,
* 13 minute bus ride to Union Station from corner Bus Stop (96 & 97)
Being on the top floor and on the corner, there aren't any noises from the neighboring units to deal with. Washer and dryer in unit and plenty of street parking available. We have a monthly maid service + utilities averages about $100/month. The room per month rents at $1000 plus utilities and a $500 Deposit. No pets.
You'll be sharing the house with 1 guy and 1 girl in their late twenties. We are both pretty chill and easy to get along with. Both are 9-5ers. I work for a startup and the other roommate works for an investment firm. We like to keep the common areas clean but aren't crazy about it. We are looking for a roommate (guy or girl) who likes to hang out on occasion and doesn'y retreat to their bedroom immediately after work. I like to hit up happy hour occasionally and hang with friends on the weekends. The other roommate is
very much the same in terms of work/life habits. This is a safe neighborhood and a safe walk to the metro station. I've done the walk at all hours, never had any issues.
