5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent who has had the privilege of sending all three of my children to Jefferson Elementary School, I can't help but reflect on the invaluable experiences they've gained and the remarkable transformation I've witnessed over the years. To make the journey even more special, I had the honor of attending this very school when I was a child. Jefferson Elementary has a special place in my heart, and it continues to exceed expectations, creating an environment where children thrive academically, emotionally, and culturally. One of the standout features of Jefferson Elementary School is the unwavering commitment of its staff to provide individual attention and care to each student. This personalized approach is a testament to the school's dedication to nurturing the unique potential of every child. I've witnessed my children receiving the support and encouragement they needed to excel in their studies, no matter their learning style or pace. What truly sets this school apart is the sense of community and the nurturing environment it fosters. From the principal to the teachers, custodians, and administrative staff there's an evident dedication to ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. The teachers are not just educators but mentors who go above and beyond to help their students grow not only academically but also personally. The open lines of communication and collaborative efforts between parents and staff make this school a true partner in our children's development. One of the most inspiring aspects of Jefferson Elementry School is its celebrations of diversity. The student body represents a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds, and this diversity is mirrored in the dedicated teaching staff. It's heartwarming to see children from various ethnicities, backgrounds, and walks of life come together in an environment that encourages mutual respect and understanding. Jefferson Elementary School truly prepares our children for the global world they will eventually navigate.Parent Review7mo ago - Muscatine High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMuscatine High School has done a great job evolving over the last several years to meet the needs of its students and the community. This is evident in programs like "Portrait of a Muskie Graduate," which helps students find their path to prepare for life after high school. The shift allows for students to 'change tracks' easier without fear of falling behind and ensures they're able to graduate. The MHS staff are dedicated, caring, and compassionate. The recent additions of the STEM wing and student center prove an ongoing investment. Muscatine is a one high school town, and I'm grateful for having MHS.Principal Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1000 E 8th St.

"Lots of low class people, unsupervised kids, untrained dogs. Almost everyone has a dog or cat. If you love in the right neighborhood you can avoid most of these problems. Not much to do in town especially for teens and young adults. Nice surrounding towns, and parks to explore. Inexpensive living if you buy a home, rent is usually overpriced though. "

"We've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years. We bought our house for retirement. The neighbors are "friendly, down-to-earth" people. Just about every family has a dog. I love the "quietness & peacefulness"!"
