"This is a wonderful hidden gem right on the sandy beaches of the Potomac! There is a fantastic array of amazing food and a small local community that is genuinely tight-knit. "
  • Jacob cowgill
"You can only walk your dogs near the beach at certain times of the year, and the beach has a lot of jelly fish during the summer swimming months"
  • Patricia M.
"Parades, community events, open beaches, car shows, friendly people, nicechurches when they are open. "
  • Gabrielle T.
"This is a great place to live! I love the quiet time and the feeling of home. The area is beautiful and there are some restaurants in town to visit. As for schools, I hear they are good, and most people in the community are very friendly."
  • Me.denise94
"Very nice and simple ride. Not like city full of traffic. More so laid back and nice scenery while driving. Many places to stop for shopping or eating. Definitely nice tiki bats on the beach with live music and good food. "
  • Tiffany H.
"friendly neighbors, nice area to be in other than that I do not live here i come to visit my mother "
  • CM88
"You would not like not having sidewalks. But mostly other people not keeping up with their animals. Too many dogs and cats running around to potentially attack you and your dog. I've had some come into my back yard and the owner running behind them. A couple of times there was no owner in sight. "
  • Lorrie.monger
"quaint historic beach community on the Potomac river. nice boardwalk area in the process of revitalization. lots of dining and recreation options. "
  • Victoria W.
"it's a nice place for temporary living. the schools are good but it's just not long term living material."
  • Ann G.
"There is a great beach area, parks, and water activities. There are a variety of restaurants. There is usually some type of festival on the weekends."
  • Wilma R.
"My sister and I love Colonial Beach! We visit all the time and would love to have a second home in the town."
  • Ron B.
"It's a golf cart community, so you can use golf carts and everything on the roads to transit the town for short distance if you don't want to walk, or don't want to drive."
  • Nancy B.
"we love it here, so much to do, it's like a secret or something, but Colonial Beach is great. "
  • HamletBuilder
"Great neighborhood. Great community boat ramp and beach. We like to fish and jetski. Friendly and quiet."
  • Nancy B.
"We have a weekend and summer home / second home here for our family.for many years. We raised the children with our summers and every chance we get to come. The beaches are so fun, we fly kites and romp around, we have a jetski and boat. What fun. Also the Town has great restaurants, entertainment, and a big hit for the kids growing up - the playgrounds. Clean and quiet and pretty. This Town has so much pride. We have great friends and neighbors. I had friends from Warrenton who moved there, and they are so happy! Her husband loves to fish, and she loves to walk and stay active. She says the Town gave them new life !! I agree!1 "
  • Jeanne L.
"Nice if you want to be near the water, quaint little town."
  • Jackleen
