The dedicated staff and teachers at Wayne Van Horn have consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth in their students. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each student receives the attention and resources they need to thrive. Furthermore, the school's emphasis on inclusivity and community involvement has greatly contributed to a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. This school is strict people are rude teachers are not understanding.

BHS is an amazing high school that has something for everyone. My eldest daughter graduated last year and had an amazing experience getting involved in clubs and academics along with making lasting friendships. A plethora of clubs are offered along with many other classes, such as ceramics, fashion, home economics, and wood/metal shop. The gate/honors program is incredible with caring/committed teachers. We love BHS! It's the best in Bakersfield.
