5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have gone to excellent schools in the past with excellent teachers willing to help when help is needed and communicating issues that arise in a timely fashion. I am disappointed with this school and have had issues with communication or the lack of, bullying and the indifference with respect to it, and the failure of guidance for a student failing in a course. I have never experienced such inattentiveness in a school in over 60 years and can say this is the worst.Parent Review2y ago12 Reviews - Tarpon Springs Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery Disappointed – Not a Safe or Supportive EnvironmentAs a parent of a child with diabetes, I expected this school to provide basic accommodations and support, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. My child has not been given the proper care or attention needed to manage his medical condition during school hours, which is not only upsetting but also dangerous. The communication between the school and families is incredibly poor. I’ve reached out multiple times with concerns, only to be ignored or brushed off. The staff, including the front reception, are consistently rude and unprofessional. It feels like no one genuinely cares about the well-being of the students.Bullying is a huge issue here, and nothing is done to stop it. The teachers and administration turn a blind eye, even when serious incidents are reported. There are constant fights, and it creates an unsafe and toxic environment for all students.I am extremely unhappy with the way this school is run and the lack of compassion and competence shown by the staff. I would not recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to be safe, supported, and treated with basic human decency.Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Sutherland Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAdministration is terrible. The assistant principal is more involved than Cantu, the actual principal. Another parent mentioned that there's a lot of parent involvement, which isn't true. Maybe at that time? But it's no longer. They couldn't even get parents to sign up for PTA positions this year. They did end up finally filling spots, but it's obviously not great "parent involvement". They have only two real events a year, Trunk or Treat and a Field Day. Only one of them is fun for the kids (trunk or treat), the other is just a money grab to fund a PTA that adds nothing to the school in terms of improvements. I'd like to see where the money is being spent because it's not on upgrades. The school itself is outdated, the outside PE area has dirt, ants, and old equipment. The classrooms and desks are subpar at best. No school dance, fun days, student lead activities, nothing that other schools get. If you have a child of special needs, especially physical, they do not accommodate here. If you have an issue with a teacher, they will say nothing to the teacher and pretty much tell you "too bad, can't make everyone happy", especially if the teacher has decent testing scores. Teacher communication is nonexistent. They do not challenge students to be better. They focus on the ones that will hurt their overall school score, but will not assist an already educationally inclined student to become better. Because of the area the school is in, it does attract a nicer array of students. This does help the overall rating of the school but the the roots (admin) are rotten here. It's just so unfortunate that there's not much to pick from in terms of quality around here, and when you think you found a gem, it's really just dung wrapped in some tin foil. Overall, would not recommend.Parent Review8mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near Klosterman Rd.

"I’ve lived in multiple areas of this town and all areas have been respectfully maintained. I do have to say lately it seems alot of out of state (transplants) and possibly people from largo area have relocated and blast their car speakers at night. This isn’t that kind of town and someone should tell them…"

"You’ll see people walking their dogs all the time. Most communities are strict about enforcing cleanup after your pets. Not too many dog parks in Palm harbor, but there are around the area. Safety Harbor dog park, Enterprise, John Chestnut, and Bicentennial are great parks that are 5-15 mins from the heart of Palm Harbor. "
