6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current student, I feel at place to be full honest and share that Ive had teachers that do not fully understand what they are to teach, specifically in the math department, Ive had two math teachers put students at risk and fail to teach us, example of putting us at risk, one of the teachers failed to secure the door closed by removing the magnet strip during a lock down drill, another staff member had opened the door dueing said drill and my class panicked. The school as a whole does little to ensure student safety compared to other schools in surrounding districts. The campus itself is clean, well planned and very well built, I do enjoy the pleasent campus and new building added this year as well. Most of the staff are polite, respectful and are mostly pleasant to talk with, especially the counselors, History/gov teachers and the monitors that walk around during instructional time. The school recently had a change of principal, and although I personally like the previous principal, our school is running alot smoother than the past years. The AP Programs have small attendance but are very good, specifically Ap English, Psychology and Ap science classes have exceptional teachers who teach both Visible and audible styles.I have yet to see someone struggle with these teachers. The school rules are very reasonable, and the new law regarding phones during instructional time forced a policy change, and SUSD30 has chosen a policy that MANY of us as students appreciate more than those "Yondr Pouches" other schools across the nation are getting. The fine arts programs the school has are also very good, specifically the Band Program and The Pac Dance Team, both having new directors in the past couple of years who are well recepted to by us and boosting our programs alot. The main building with two stories though, does not feel safe in fire drill, the building has 3 staircases, one center, 2 rear on opposing sides; the building is EXTREMELY SLOW TO EVACUATE, students, including myself, have tripped on others in the crowded stairs and crammed in the (4) exits of the building.I fear about being in that building specifically in the case of a firearm related attack because of these crammed hallways, exits and stairs. The rest of the school has improved though, including the stadium field this previous year, we are getting new and bigger tennis courts, and theres a rumor we might get a new path to the stadium.Thats all I can really write, hopefully this helps!Student Review9mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Edwin Rd #0.

"The schools are great here in my opinion, just be sure to look into which one you’d like your kid to attend as most schools here allow open enrollment "

"A quiet, low-crime neighborhood. You can take a walk by the lake, and on special days, there are various events such as parties held in the neighborhood."

"My commute is fairly easy. Winter months can become congested with the winter visitors. There are quite a few options to get most places. I-19 is a bit of a nightmare when it comes to safety and the only interstate available to travel out of Sahuarita."

"Easy commute to Tucson, about 25 minutes north of Hwy. 19. Rush hour has some traffic, but not standstill, just more than a few cars. Non busy hours you’ll be on the road alone or with two or three other cars. Very easy access to Green Valley and beyond to Tubac or Nogales. "

"Dogs are a mainstay in Sahuarita and you’ll see all varieties walking with their owners in and around the parks. People are good about picking up after their dogs and the city is good about keeping poo-bags at various stations. Barking is occasional, never prolonged and folks are really great about keeping their pets on a leash when walking about."

"Can be difficult to drive up to Tucson from Sahuarita, however I-19 makes the commute faster. Around the town the commute is pretty easy, however as Rancho Sahuarita is only 1 lane in some areas, can get very backed up during certain times."
