8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family relocated to Temecula from Las Vegas in Fall of 2021 for my daughters 3rd grade year and let me just say, coming from one of the worst school districts in the country (underfunded Clark County school district) to the VHES, it's one of the best decisions we made. My daughter was a little behind in the beginning but with some assistance/dedication, she's now closing out 4th grade this year with straight A's. We love her teacher Mrs. Crisp! She's communicative, caring, thorough, and overall, an amazing guide and teacher for our kids. The school is very active with events such as "Husky hoedown," movie nights and fun celebratory weeks, we all really enjoy it. The teachers/staff should be proud of what they're accomplishing here, keep up the great work!Parent Review3y ago12 Reviews - Temecula Valley High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student of Temecula Valley High School, and while the school does have some strengths, there are also serious issues that should not be ignored. On the positive side, the school offers strong educational opportunities for students who actively seek them out. The AP classes are the highlight of the academic experience many of the AP teachers are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely care about preparing students for college-level work. The school also has good sports programs and a wide variety of clubs, which gives students plenty of ways to get involved and build community. However, these positives are overshadowed by major problems within the school culture. Racism is a serious and ongoing issue, and it often feels ignored or minimized by the administration. Incidents are not consistently addressed, and there is a lack of accountability or meaningful action, which creates an unsafe and uncomfortable environment for many students.Additionally, while the AP program is strong, most non-AP classes lack motivation and support. Many teachers outside of AP courses do not encourage students to succeed or push them to reach their potential, which leads to disengagement. Students who are already struggling often fall further behind instead of being helped.Statistically, a concerning portion of students do not graduate, which reflects deeper systemic issues within the school. This alone should be enough to prompt serious reflection and change.Overall, Temecula Valley High School has potential and some excellent programs, but inequality, lack of support, and unaddressed discrimination significantly impact the student experience. Without meaningful reform and stronger accountability, many students will continue to feel overlooked and unsupportedOther Review4mo ago13 Reviews - Temecula Middle School

"This area is mostly clean, less noise, and traffic etc. There’s nice parks, a couple lakes, kids out and about, it’s truly a little gem for those wanting to step out of a busy city. There’s little to no crime for what I’m aware of. People are pretty friendly, drivers are decent, there’s a true pride living in this city and this part of the county. "

"We have community events a few times a year in our community park. The HOA does a summer, fall and winter event. Usually food, games for the kids and something seasonal. The larger community has many events at the community center throughout the year. "

"ive lived here for 4 years. it has gotten worse every year. the traffic is getting unbarable, it takes 45 minutes to get to the 15 freeway that is only 7 miles from house. 20 minutes to 215 freeway that is only 3 miles away. theres always a traffic jam no matter which way you are traveling regardless of time. 15 minutes or more to grocery store 1.5 miles from house. taxes....through the roof. they have renamed melloruse as special assessments. and on too of that the fire department and police department send their own bill. HOA....dont be fooled by cheap hoa dues, they can and will go up. also, just because thwy are cheap dues doesnt mean they wont send you letters for silly stuff like holiday decor or weeds, or a trashcan left out 10 minutes too long. if tranquillity is what you are seeking try somewhere else. if overpriced tickitacki houses and suburban hustle is your style, you will fit right in."

"Winchester is in the Temecula school district which is a plus! It’s a bit more secluded than I would like but they are fast building more and more housing communities so businesses are sure to gravitate towards the area! If you want an up and coming city near Temecula that is not already full and done developing this is the place for you!"
