What Locals Say about Walpole

  • Ciarra M.
"This area is overcrowded. It can be loud at any time of the day, including late at night. There are lots of cats roaming around also. "
  • walpolenh
"Walpole NH is a quaint and charming New England town, thought to be among the loveliest and most desirable towns in New England. It is a safe and pleasant place to live. The community comes together in support of each other in both good times and in times of need. Walpole has been written up in the WSJ and other publications as a wonderful place to retire. A drive through the village center and common areas take most folks back to an earlier, more simple time. The friendly atmosphere and easy living make Walpole a great town in which to live and raise a family. Also to retire in a most pleasant, stress free town. "
  • SLBINGAMAN
"This is an incredible community where everyone is included and encouraged to participate.Town wide events, church suppers, library programs, musical events, gourmet restaurant, tavern, diner, world class Burdick chocolates, Alisons Orchard with 60 +varieties of apples, and sleigh rides in winter! Out door activities- walking, hiking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, sledding, tubing, horseback riding, swimming, tennis, golf, community garden, etc. An incredible place to live. This little village has everything including a Dartmouth Cheshire health clinic, hairdressers, gourmet market, numerous churches, investment groups, yoga instruction, World Affairs Discussion group, book groups, knitting groups, I could go on and on. Plus the college town of Keene is 20 minutes away with its extended shopping. Quality of life is A+++"
