What Locals Say about Brookview

  • Danielle
    Brookview, Waco
"The neighborhood is in a weird place. A lot of Waco is like this, actually. One street is nice and well cared for and the next over is on the sketchy side. I wouldn’t let my kid ride a bike around my neighborhood, but I see others—who live on less busy streets—doing so. "

"I am not a dog owner so I don’t know for sure, but there are lots of sidewalks that you can walk your dog on as well as nearby parks. "

"I dunno I haven’t attended any community events in my neighborhood. But Colcord has an excellent Halloween party every year; about 5 blocks are shut off to traffic, everyone decorates, there’s music, and it’s pretty neat."

"Excellent neighborhood. Friendly and welcoming community! I feel safe in this neighborhood and it’s a stone’s throw from downtown, which is extremely convenient. "

"People walk there dogs all the time but you have to tolerate the loud cars, speeding cars and extremely loud car sound systems. People set off fireworks when they are sold. People leave their dog’s tied up all day and night, regardless of weather. If you love animals, don’t move to Texas."

"We just purchased our home in Brookview. It's nice here. Our neighbor's have been friendly. It's quiet and somewhat peaceful. I feel as safe outside as I do inside. I don't think it's really unique in any way but it's good enough to call my neighborhood."

"Located centrally to everything. Takes about 7 minutes to get my son to school. Traffic isn’t the best and people drive crazy."

"Lots of people walk their dogs in the area. Dog friendly neighborhood. My dogs enjoy visits from the other pups on the street. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 3 years and I like. Only thing I don't like is everyone parks on the street even though they have driveways causing the streets to be too narrow. "
