"Exceptionally rural. The town is literally mostly parkland. There are two main arteries that run north and south (9 & 9D) and the vast majority of local road off of them are v low traffic. "

"I’ve lived here for 12 years and my only regret is I didn’t get the chance to grow up here. A perfect little town, with a breathtaking waterfront - only 50 miles north of NYC. "

"It has environmental beauty while still being within commuting proximity to a major city. Life here is seasonal and connected to nature."

"Easy commute by car, one and a half hours to midtown. Trains are about the same to grand central. We prefer the palisades pkwy route even though you cross the river...it’s prettier and the same amount of time. Traffic/rush hour can change these times dramatically. Coming from the city late at night can be a real drag, though."

"I wouldn’t call it a neighborhood, I’d call it an area. I like that it’s quiet but still close to everything and just Minutes away from the village of cold spring which always has something to do."
