"It is a nice Thunderbolt town\suburb of Savannah, nothing is over a few miles away, except the airport. It’s not more dangerous than most areas."
  • Andyhardcastle
" Not enough sidewalks in town, no real safe bike paths, hwy 80 is a race track! Good location for going into Savannah ."

"There are many dogs in the neighborhood which is great! A lot of dog friendly people too! But could definitely use a nice dog park. "

"Quick access to downtown, the highway, and any store you can think of, Whole Foods, Target, Home Depot, pets smart, etc "
  • Tmurdoch19
"Good neighborhood for kids to play safely. Be careful of the traffic on Bonaventure road cars may be traveling fast at times."
  • Lindi C.
"So close to Tybee Island and also to historic Savannah as well as grocery shopping and gym. Love the area and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! We feel safe and like the presence of the Thunderbolt Police. Would like sidewalks in Thunderbolt. That’s the only drawback. Other than that it’s a wonderful community that we enjoy being apart of. Our family enjoys the area when they come to visit. "
  • Kelly D.
"I am not experienced with the public transit . I live 5 miles from work and own my own car. It takes approximately 20 minutes for me to get to work. "
  • ethical b.
"Close proximity to the water and downtown Savannah. Good shopping. WAY too many police officers and some weird codes (e.g., you have to get a permit to cut tree branches because they count it as tree removal). "
  • Kelly D.
"I honestly never want to leave this area. outside of the convenience of the location, I really feel safe and as of I know my neighbors even though I may not be social with them. The historic part of Thunderbolt is fantastic. "
  • Kelly D.
"love it here! close to downtown and the beach. it is also quiet and somewhat separated feelong from Savannah. "
  • Kelly D.
"I have lived here for your years and really just love it. The location is convenient to everything and it so quiet. I would hate to ever think about moving from this small town. "

"this is a awesome little plaza by the river walk your dogs and see the beautiful sights tubbys and little shops AWSOME"
  • Laurie d.
"I love the Thunderbolt area for its charm, views, and convenience. Being by the ICW is attractive for boaters. The homes are cottage meets condo -- but everyone can meet up at Tubby's for a salute to the sunset at the end of the day!"
