What Locals Say about Terrebonne

"Great area that is safe and very nice. The outdoors for recreation are close. The neighborhood is very safe and friendly."
  • Qsv5zh2kvg
"Very safe and rural area. You are minutes from outdoor areas to hike, fish, hunt, or camp. People are friendly and it is a slower pace of life. Traffic is much better than in the metro area. "

"It is not far from amenities. We have resort areas and RV. Parks close by.this is most typically like central Oregon. It is a high desert climate and you have larger lots to live on. I love that people come out here to vacation, but we get to stay!"
  • Oregongal99
"This location fronts Highway 97 between Terrebonne and Cinder Butte. it is an extremely busy Street of the highway. The price seems quite inflated for what's there in house. "
  • d2ventures2
"We live here...definitely need transportation and to not be in a hurry to get anywhere. Which is why we love it...quiet, peaceful, very scenic. Amazing sunrises and sunsets, and most of the people are laid back and very happy to be out here. Neighbors close enough to help one another, but acreage between for lots of privacy."
  • Linderleeswift
"I live on the Crooked River Rim a few houses south of the property for sale. The views here are nothing less than spectacular. A star gazer's paradise at night, and lots of fabulous sunrises for early birds. This location is near the entrance to CRR on a paved road. It's true that many other locations on the ranch are 20 or more minutes from here, making their trips to town that much farther. We are 15 minutes from the Northern part of Redmond, and only 5 minutes from Terrebonne's grocery, restaurants, hardware store, and gas station. In addition to the scenery, we enjoy the privacy, relaxed-lifestyle, and general atmosphere of Crooked River Ranch. "
  • Ebbel1
"We own a lot on the Ranch on the south side. We can't walk to any amenities, bank, food, gas, etc. are all miles away. Pets are either kept indoors or are fodder for wild animals. Scenery is wonderful, climate relatively mild."
  • Sue L.
"We have lived on the Ranch for a 2 years and we are ready to get out of here. Not a place for families. Nothing is convenient and the retirees complain about everything. It takes awhile to get off the ranch and that is if someone is driving decent. If you get stuck behind a retiree it may take you a day. Nothing for kids to do either. The school for children is poor as well. We have had tons of problems there and the staff lacks the knowledge and resources to fix things. Do yourself a favor and stay in town if you have a family. If you are retired cowboy up and get out here. But if there is a medical emergency you better hope they get out here fast enough."
