"We have lived here for 22 years and it’s a wonder city with many amenities and a strong commercial district. Our schools are highly rated, crime is very low and we have excellent city services. This is a very diverse community as well. "
  • Cathy Lippert
"Can pretty easily drive to anywhere within northeast Ohio from Solon. Commuted for years to Cleveland, not much tragic except for snowy days which were slow. If you happened to take a job in Akron, Mentor or the west side, you could likely reach it within 45 minutes as well."
  • Daryl Schultz
"My commute is in my personal vehicle which consists of 4 mikes door to door. Depending if school is in session and time of day , traffic can be heavier then other times"

"Solon holds a carnival every summer called home days that brings the whole community together to celebrate and have fun. People rally around our high school sports and academic teams, drama club, band, orchestra, choir, and especially show choir. Education is a number one priority in our community and we're all proud of our school district. "
  • Vance122
"Low crime and phenomenal schools. Great property equity as well. Roads are in great shape, near the highway and neighbors are very friendly. "
  • Trulia User
"Plenty of sidewalks to walk your dog, and you'll meet many others while you're out and about. Definitely a pet friendly area, but if your dog doesn't play well with others it might be best to walk them earlier or later in the day. Typically only people who live in the neighborhood drive through it, so you usually don't deal with a lot of cars while you're out. If you like a nice, quiet neighborhood to take a stroll with your pets, this is an ideal location for you. "
  • Bpwj

  • John C.
"Tight knit community with lots of local events & local attractions. I’ve lived here for 10 years & love it. "
