  • Kellyallen21
"I have lived h ere for years it's a nice quiet town, dog catcher doesn't like anyone under 35 I swear so keep pets inside or on leash at all times...we have no leash law but he don't care.....school is good and by that I mean it's there....bullying is a problem ..buses Ya keep your kids off them it's awful...overall if u are over the age of 40 it's perfect for you anyone younger is treated like scum"
  • Diana H.
"I own a home here, just down from the Catholic Church of St. MAry by the Sea at the top of the hill, overlooking lake Memphramegog. Walk to main street ( two blocks) and library, natural food stores, artist studios and galleries, city hall, the marina and walkway along the lake. A posh B&B just opened up on this street, lawyers and gallery owners have their homes here, and it is fabulously quiet in winter although in summer some of the denizens can be rowdy. Harmless and diverse, a real little city in the country. Newport has great potential and amazingly friendly people. Fishing I hear is great, cycling and hunting of course. Country auctions, skiing at Jay Peak, an hour and a half to Montreal. "
