What Locals Say about Leesville

  • Queenetta Parris
"There’s nothing for our kids to do outside of Church activities, if your child goes to Church. All others are on their own here in Leesville with nothing to do except to get in trouble."
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of dog owners in the neighborhood and they seem to clean up after themselves. Rules are you must keep them on a leash. Pet friendly. "
  • Trulia User
"It’s small and the people here are pretty friendly. Good people and it’s fairly close to everything fun and exciting but still has the quiet homey feel to it. Not too crowded "
  • Michelle A.
"Not kept up typically, sidewalks need tending to because they are basically washed away, the roads have massive pot holes and property is sky high because people think only military live here. Some of these house you can’t even live in and they are marked at 40,000. "
  • Gary S.
"I just moved here, so far I see some random drunk/maybe drugged people walking around but pretty harmless, we had a kid come ask if we needed our lawn mowed and he did a great job though"
  • Cheyenewise
"You have to drive everywhere, and the only way to find something to do, is to travel at least an hour for a mall. To find family things, it’s 2.5-4h drive. "
  • Maryann419.conner
"You must have your own transportation available. This is a rural area. No public transit available except for a taxi."
  • Satari G.
"I have lived in this community for almost 2 years. Over here in Sycamore Point my neighbors come and go due to PCSing and even moving on base but it stays consistent. I haven’t had any complaints about my neighbors and vise versa. They have a lawn crew who comes about every 2 weeks or so and does and excellent job. Just move your plants and other items if you are someone who loves to garden because they sometimes get very close to the flowers. Other than that the kids play at the pool and parks and overall we have friendly neighbors."
  • Satari G.
"They would love that my neighborhood is pet friendly and other dogs around. They might not like that we do not have dog parks but on base they do. Also, they may or may not like the $300."
  • Satari G.
"If you don’t own a vehicle the only other transportation is taxi cabs and from what I’ve heard they are expensive. "
  • Natasha W.
"Crime here is at a minimum. It is a friendly and quiet place to raise a family. Most things are in closer proximity. "
  • Bcmaugiedog
"A dog park, ensure dogs on leashes. love friendly dogs! lots of dogs but not all of them on leashes but for most part all of them are friendly! "
  • Mamabea40
"I have lived in this area for over 15 years. I have had good neighbors and we all enjoy standing around talking. We check on each other and support our Military families. "
  • Wendy L.
"Amazing community awareness, we are small town America!"
