"As a parent, I love knowing that Heflin has its own Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, and Fire Department. The city has so many ways of bringing the community together. "
  • Vet1028
"This community has no public transportation that I’m aware of. However I have seen a small bus/van for seniors that live in the area."
  • Ashley A. W. M.
"It’s less than five minutes from everything.. stores, food, interstate, schools, etc. I enjoy my neighbors. "
  • lag30117
"This area is quite & safe. It is pet friendly and close by a comm. walking track but several just a few min away. Anniston/Oxford area for shopping/resturants. Atlanta and Birmingham only a hour away. Schools r excellent. Lake Wedowee 20 min south of here. Mt Cheaha 35 min max. Traffic here since we r on a county road is quite. Parking at our home is great. Entertainment & nightlife one hour away or 20 min depending on what u like. Public transportation really not sure what u mean unless a taxi and we r in the country, so no. Community involvement depending on the people, how much u want to involve yourselves. Cleanliness here at our home is very good. We like a great looking yard. Great landscaping in spring, summer. When one thing starts blooming and starts to quit something else is following in sequent. Depending on the people who live here and keep the landscaping looking good. We choose to do that. So, living here in the country is great because places to shop, eat, entertainment are not far away. Once people get use to this area they find that everything is pretty handy and close by.This is a great area especially for a family."
