  • Sheri Jernigan
"Nice walking path around the neighborhood. There eased to be trash cans and dog poop bags along the path, but not any more"
  • Sgmontani
"Neighborhood is very pet friendly lots of people walking their dogs and talking to neighbors. We love dogs but……Please don’t let them bark all day and night "
  • Sheryl L. Slaney
"People are walking their dogs but most of them keep to themselves. They don’t seem overly anxious to want their dogs to meet and greet other dogs. I have a bigger dog though, so maybe that’s one reason. "
  • Susie Bauman
"Lots of dog owners on my block. We all walk regularly and pick up. No one lets them off leash too much. "
  • Susie Bauman
"Farmers market in the summertime. Proximity to lakes. Golf courses. Public beach. Parks. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores. Independent small businesses are supported!"
  • Sodabird60
"No commute for me anymore but it was getting pretty bad before I moved with a lot of traffic to get to the interstate and on the interstate itself too "
  • Ch2622
"Hayden is mostly Californians, they are pretty weird when it comes to being neighbors. Sometimes they have no boundaries and just show up unannounced. It’s weird. "
  • Ch2622
"Listen, don’t show up at people’s homes uninvited under the context of being neighborly. It’s invasive. "
  • Trulia User
"neighbors look out for each other there are a decent amount of children but they are mostly well mannered and play safely. this neighborhood is not dangerous and the prices of rent are moderately priced "
  • John.earley12
"Great community and place to raise a family. Very safe and really beautiful . Growing population, plenty of restaurants and commerce."
  • Sassy B.
"I drive government way from Lancaster to Harrison almost daily and Hayden has beautiful, new, and nicely maintained roads. They for some reason didn’t match Coeur d alene’s government way upgrades. As soon as you enter Hayden it drops to one lane with a middle lane full of awkward islands. Traffic is always backed up in Hayden for really no reason other then weird road design. It’s a cute place otherwise. "

"Lack of shoulder/sidewalks for safe biking/walking. Many cars speed and run red lights. This used to be a quiet, friendly area to live and raise a family but the city was/is not prepared for the influx of population "
  • Rdettelbach
"Great living area with wild deer, and turkeys. Just beautiful! neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Great dog walking, though a wonderful quiet area. I would love to live in this area."
  • Umatillalul

"I've lived all around North Idaho and Hayden by far is the most beautiful area alongside it's perfect because it's rural but also still in city limits we have the best of both worlds"
  • SpringtimeID
"Hayden is a great place to live and raise a family. Too bad the housing prices are getting out of hand."
  • Dena S
"Our neighborhood has mostly retired (or approaching retirement) residents. There are two golf courses within a short cart ride. Also, We enjoy the wildlife that meander down quiet streets and gather on our lawns. Hayden Meadows is a good school and serves children throughout the Hayden area, most children are transported by bus. Our town is still rural, safe and holds conservative values. Hayden is a wonderful place to grow up and I’ve called it home for last 50 years!"
  • Tytan C.
"Easy commute with minimal traffic if you stay in town. The closer to CDA or Spokane you go, the worse it gets."
  • Richard S.
