"great little community, just far enough from EVERYTHING! perfect for raising a family and still affordable. not many jobs so be prepared to commute 30 min to most jobs. GREAT athletic program and curriculum. "

"I've lived in hartsville my entire life. our little town hasn't changed too incredibly much in the last 30 years. we still live at each other when we pass on the road, and help each other out when our neighbors are in need. pretty great little community"
  • Hallmoving73
"I have lived here for almost 4 years love it here ppl are friendly and talk it's just a county town and I'm a country boy "
  • Joyfulmom2
"It's an ideal set up if you have a home business and there's even a great area for kids to play w/ a playhouse, sandbox and large paved area for small bike riding or mini B-Ball court! Backyard works great as a soccer field, too! The house is set among a large one block circle of neighbors who ALL take care of their yards very nicely, Excellent setup providing safety and community activity while still offering privacy w/ a view! Located on a 1-mile road just 3 miles from 231 & 25.Gallatin,Lebanon & Lafayette are only 20-25 min away AND Nashville is less than 1 hour away! Skyline Hospital(top rated)is 43 min away, Vanderbilt only 59 min. according to Google! The NEW high school is less than 2 miles! There is a dog run available on the side of the house along with gardens ready for planting annuals next to some perennials(echinacea, canna lily, vincas even come up on their own!) in the background, and Bradford Pear Trees in the front yard! Walking the neighborhood's circle block is more for intermediate+ walkers due to the hills, but less than 2 miles away is a VERY LARGE park with a 1/2 mi walking path with a beautiful view! Included in this park is a HUGE playground, with a covered area for picnics, several sports fields, a large lighted football/baseball field, complete with bleachers and concession stand-but best of all the paved walking path (dogs allowed w/ leash) with a beautiful view-and only 1.7 miles away! It's an unusually large park for such a small town, (rumor has it that their funding is the same as other TN counties,HOWEVER--Trousdale CO is by FAR the smallest county in TN-YOU do the math)Their roads are also superior-you can SEE the difference when crossing county lines! With loads of history and quaint charm, Hartsville's friendly community loyalty also provides small town safety with an emphasis on family which= A+ on schools and parks. A handful of local restaraunts, with 100's more located in nearby towns. It's 'where everyone knows your name'!"
