"It’s a small town where everyone still knows everyone for the most part. It’s a relatively safe community with family friendly environment. Although the school system is lacking unfortunately, it is a great place to raise a family. "

"I absolutely LOVE Hamilton Lake! It is an ALL SPORTS lake, so Surfing, Wake boarding, Skiing, Jet Skiing, and just going fast is permitted! The town is right on the lake and you can go to 3 Restaurants by boat, or park your boat downtown and walk to the rest of the wonderful Restaurants! There is a newer development on the NW side of the lake that has Lake lots for sale under $50 K. The fishing is great, with large mouth bass, blue gill, perch crappie, pike, (some walleye) and gar for spear fishing at night! Hamilton Lake consists of 842 Acres and the depth is 70 feet. There are 2 marinas on the lake and some weekly cottage rentals. The community is very active with a Garden Club, Fish and Game Club, and a very active Chamber of Commerce. The Christmas Parade has 40+ horse drawn wagons decorated with lights and brings "Santa into Town" ! It is always the 1st Sat night after Thanksgiving! The Town closes off one of the streets for the Fall Festival including a street dance, corn hole contest, and different games for the kids, AND adults! There is a 4th of July Parade, and a Memorial Day Parade. The small grocery store has the best meat counter you will find! A "Dollar General" just opened last year. Rose Bros. Pizza and Rose Bros. Too will be your favorite hang-out, Rogers Harvest House is another local restaurant! Ice fishing was great this year, along with the snow mobiles. The lake never is too busy, like some of the lakes in Angola! It is very peaceful and quiet! You will not be disappointed with the FUN you will have here in Hamilton!"
