What Locals Say about Gillette

  • Matthew J.
"We love our neighbors and neighborhood but some people need to learn what a storage shed is. To many cars parked on the sides of the roads and it devalues our wonderful neighborhood and makes it look cluttered and trashy. "
  • Henry C.
"Parades, sports, community events that benefit all of the area and those in need. Support for non-profit"
  • Lisa M.
"Haven’t been here long. There are many kids in the neighborhood. There are schools and parks. There plenty of businesses for shopping. There are plenty of restaurants too."
  • Kaylyn B.
"some people are odd but mostly safe. bad things don't usually occur here. parks are nice. people wave. it's a good spot. "
  • Daniel R. R.
"Snow melts off the main roads typically same day or soon after. Side streets are blowed but may be icy or snow covered. Friending people, low crime. It is an 95% oil & coil based economy, if those are doing well, everything is booming. When it isn't everything else soon follows suit. Cowboys are mostly just a symbol of the past, very little of the state is based on farming, horse, or cattle. There are farms & ranches, just not what most people envision. Very few trees, warm to hot, but dry Summers, cold somewhat dry Winters. Kinda skips to Spring & Fall. Just Winter & Summer. Nice place to live in Gillette, but not for me. I'm moving elsewhere."

  • Sonja.merryman
"Short and easy. We can get to work through our neighborhood or on a beautiful drive along lake way which is also where we walk our dog and enjoy the artwork. Just 5 minute walk from the library and 5 minutes from near by restaurants. "
  • Scraper0497
"Trailer park does not allow fenced in yards. Along with certain breeds of dogs. Gillette is also a town where inside city limits your animals must be registered with the City."
  • Cheri W. p.
"Gillette offers plenty of sports programs and beautiful parks as well as a community pool. There also is a community recreation center complete with indoor pool, rock climbing wall, aerobic activities, weightlifting, and plenty more for the whole family. The schools here are highly funded to allow children to learn in an environment with well stocked libraries and computer laboratories."
  • Scraper0497
