What Locals Say about Emporia

  • F5fftcxhck
"We do not have community events often. The city hosts events throughout the year for certain holidays. "
  • Nicole M.
"A few months but seems cool...many police live in the area...multi-cultural. A highschool is close by so lots of room to exercise on a track. Scale if 1 to 10 I'd give it a 8. "
  • Joy M.
"It is a well tight community. Almost everyone knows one other and look out for each other. I have lived here since 1991 and and it has been a journey but it seems more safer then any other cites that I have visited. There have been some crimes but most have been solved. "
  • Charles Walker Jr.
"I lived in the area almost 12 plus years . I originally moved here from Southeast Washington DC. It was a culture shock. I'm pretty much of a city type . I was used to public transportation and easy access to recreational activities. Emporia /Greensville County forced me to reevaluate my idea of recreational activities by allowing myself to enjoy the local parks and nature. I thoroughly enjoy the Farmer's market and Logan's Diner. The area has grown on me😁😁😁"
  • Imoni B.
"There are currently no community events that I know about personally. The newspaper usually has upcoming events. Or the rental office has holiday events for the local tenants "
