"I live 10 miles from the freeway! Then it’s right there...Cottonwood! Go north on freeway and there’s Anderson, next, Redding. Go south and it takes you to Red Bluff! You have to drive a little! But traffic isn’t too bad!"
  • Ron P.
"they would have a lot of land to roam and fish and horses riding and swimming in the lake that they have here 3 to 4 miles from the freeway 1 market."
  • Shellykelley516
"I've lived in this area all my life and love the atmosphere and the neighbors are always so friendly! "
  • Rhonda T.
"All dogs should be in fenced yards. NOT running loose. There are not many paved sidewalks, and no dog parks in Cottonwood "
  • Danielle A. T.
"We have the cottonwood rodeo. it's very fun but needs better seating or your sitting in the sun, but it's a great experience and awesome for families and friends to attend. "
  • Emauwbrey
"I just moved here 5 days ago, and do not know anyone except one immediate neighbor. I have been told there are an older neighbor household across the street but I have not been here long enough to meet them. The neighborhood is small and very quiet so far, some are seniors (over 55) and others are working class. Thanks Trulia, wish me Blessings in my new home! You have always been ‘Tops’ in my book😊."
  • danmabry
"30-40 minute drive to activities in Redding. Lots of HOA problems. 700+ lawsuits. "
  • danmabry
"The Lake California POA has had a number of struggles over the years. Currently homeowners are facing 11+ million in Law suits while only having 2 million in insurance. The POA itself has instigated over 700 lawsuits against 1300 families over the years. Lots of natural beauty, but distant for shopping and jobs. "
  • Thad C. C.
"I have visited the Cottonwood area many times and specifically around the Adams Road ranches. It is a beautiful area with great people and is excellent for horse people and those who want space."
  • Matspeach60
"This is where everyone wishes they could live. People retire here because it's more affordable than the rest of California and it's where everyone comes to visit for outdoor activities. "
  • P G.
"I raised my children in the area. Excellent schools, very safe, neighbors watch out for one another, very peaceful and private! My children learned to drive here and are the best drivers! The school bus came right to my door. Great 4-H club ! Great week-ends at the lakes, on the slopes, sledding, hiking, fishing, hunting, and on it goes! All of the recreational opportunities you could want and all can be done in a day trip!"
  • Debbieamall
"Owners have been great in keeping this a safe, family friendly community. "
