"Summer nights Is a weekly concert that the do in the summer and sell food and have a car show, every Year the event grows bigger and bigger bringing people from the towns around is a great family event. All the kids get glow sticks as it gets dark with the music and the good food it makes for a fantastic summer night in the company of your family. So I’d you like food and a good drink come visit in the summer "

"Summer nights concerts which happens every summer in coordination with hillside the neighbor town also we have a nice prairie path where a lot of their families take their kids bike riding and to play in the playground which is super safe as the police department and the fire house is right in front of it. They also have a sand volleyball court with a league you can see the games as is next to the play ground. "
  • Courtney H.
"there are no community events in Berkeley.. that i know of at least. i’ve been living here 2 years almost 3 and have never heard of one... neighbors do not come outside but when they do they’re friendly. i guess"
  • Karen H.
"great town but you will have to do your work at home when it comes to school.. Don't depend on the schools system to care of they want to learn they do the job if your child does theirs but you need to be the one to push it. They aren't babysitters family counselors and they're definitely not psychic to know if a child has an issue. besides hearing Horrible's School issues at the end of the day your child is a product of what you may install in them. this is a great neighborhood kind people for the most part all yards are kept up and the trash does feel unwelcome and will leave. "
  • sanchez j.
"Very safe know the police officers very well and the town may be small but it’s a very nice neighborhood to live in. The houses are kept very clean and modern."
  • Karen H.
"the diversity of everyone and everything. I lived here my whole life but moved when time for my child to go to school in dist. 87 but now I'm back just for the most part teacher's have up on teaching mainly at the High School"
  • Karen H.
"I have grown up in Berkeley since I was born. My family still does also the same family's I have grown up with still do as well. You feel safe and I love that small town feel. Everyone for the most part is as friendly, helpful and welcoming."
  • robinson d.
"I reside in the area - it's a small suburban city of Chicago; centrally located, and has access to public transportation (Train and Bus). Very quiet, and close to other suburbs with a great entertainment. Great for young families and for retirees."
