"I live in the neighborhood, and this is the nicest (and biggest) house around. Meticulously landscaped, intimately private back yard, woods deep enough for lots of song birds...even an eagle's nest nearby. A rockhound's paradise, with mica-quartz-olivine-garnet filled beauties so close you don't have to look for them...they are nestled among the natural ferns and moss all around you (decades ago this area featured mica and quartz mines). I love living here - it's so quiet. This property is about 2 miles up a lovely, flat valley road, which dead ends about a mile farther up, so there is no traffic. You can't hear any highways, traffic, trucks, etc., at all, just the far off CSX train when the weather is right. There's a river a few miles away with trout and other delicious fish, and plenty of hiking, riding and skiing opportunities all around us. This is a nicely built, well situated modular (which does not look at all like a modular - if you didn't know you'd never guess), with a nice view of the valley. Very dog, cat and horse friendly, and a VERY safe neighborhood, where most everybody knows, or knows of, others. You can get as close as you want, visit every now and then, or just be left alone. Up to you. I will say that the retirees and locals in general keep an eye out, and serve as an unorganized and informal but VERY effective Neighborhood Watch. Suspicious cars, odd goings on might prompt a casual driving by just to make sure. Quite reassuring for someone who is away at work all day. The neighbors are a mix of locals, locals who have lived away and returned, retired couples, families and quite a few folks from far away, who fell in love with the place and stayed. You'd do well to be one of them!"
