What Locals Say about Southwest

Review Highlights

Southwest, Atlanta: lively, transit-rich with parks, quick airport reach, and walkable streets. Easy MARTA, parks and sidewalks, near airport and downtown; quiet, friendly, pet‑friendly vibe. Safety worries, speeding and crime; weaker schools, traffic, few dog parks, avoid late nights.

"“Leave Early” is an old Atlanta Proverb. Traffic is always somewhere and it will find you. Carpooling is encouraged, MARTA also has its benefits but it needs more work. A car is unfortunately necessary."
