"We’ve lived in Andover for 5 years now. We love this area. It’s convenient with Target, Walmart, and lots of other close shopping (“Riverdale”) in the neighboring city. There’s plenty fast food but only a few sit down restaurants. There’s a good mix of old and new homes. Not hugely diverse but increasing over the last short years. "
  • Alex W.
"I have lived in Andover since i was in middle school, never in my life did I feel like I wasn't in a safe area. All around the clock Andover is a safe place to be no matter what time of day. kind of have to go out of your way to get to anything fun to do, but I'd rather take an extra 20-30 min drive than worry about my safety "
  • Ianlindsay912

  • Lois

"Large lots. Many beautiful parks. Good schools. Kind neighbors of all ages. Many people with pets. Grocery and other stores are just a mile away. "
  • tynysteps
"Stunning wildlife! Quiet families, nature trails, lake, wetland, great schools, close shopping. We have lived in the Meadows of Round Lake neighborhood for 15 years. This was our first home purchase and we do not plan on leaving. We are between 150 acres of wetlands and Round Lake. We see many ducks in the pond... mallards, wood ducks, teal ducks, geese and the spring ducklings. In the mornings, we awake to songbirds and loon calls. During the day we see turtles big and small, assisting them across the street is a normal sight. Bird Watching you'll see a variety of songbirds, eagles, sand cranes and pheasants. At nightfall we see the white tailed deer, fox, opossum, raccoons and coyotes. At night we hear a concert of frogs, crickets, loons and a distant sound of the the Anoka High School marching band. Clear night skies are great for stargazing, meteor showers, spotting satellites and bats eating mosquitoes. Watching fireworks shows from the porch on July 4th, during the Anoka County Fair, and Anoka high school. Bike and hiking trails abound. Horseback riding trails and water wave pool at Bunker Lake State Park. Locally owned farms and farmer markets. "
