What Locals Say about Edgewood Park

"Lots of them in the area!! Love it here as a dog owner! But we need more dog parks on this side of the city "
  • Melissa Shymko
"People walk their dogs all the time and are good about keeping their dogs on leash and picking up poop. "
  • simi bhaurla
"there are no community events i am aware of. there are things that happen downtown that are free and most go to that "
  • Trulia User
"Increasing, post pandemic. Generally, a quick ride up Edgewood RoD to Hwy 280. Not bad. Local streets are busier during commute hours. "
  • Mamamohujajuja
"We moved to Edgewood Park in 2013. It is a great mix of new young families, established seniors or retirees and second or third generations taking over the family home. Lots of dogs and walkers/joggers at all hours so you never feel unsafe or alone no matter what time it is. The neighborhood is tucked in between two downtown areas so even though it has a very deep residential feel, it is only a ten minute walk to restaurants, bars, shops events and night life. We have a surprising amount of wildlife too- raccoons, squirrels and possums along with endless variety of birds are a daily occurrence in our yard. We have visits by deer quite regularly and last year a coyote trotted down the street. "

"Fantastic neighborhood with no shortage of good neighbors. A gem in the South Bay. I walk regularly through the neighborhood and love the well kept vintage houses."
  • Larry F.
"It’s a very dog friendly neighborhood. My dog is too old to go for walks but he used to love it. And I think he approves of how much the other her dogs enjoy the old sidewalks and big trees here. Lots of good smells. My dog, Charlie approves."

"I miss this area so much!! It's the best spot in Redwood City....enjoy San Carlos without the high taxes and the beautiful Wellesley Crescent/Edgewood Park unique homes along the way. I wish we never left because prices now have finally caught up with this gem. Safe, family neighborhood, pet-friendly, and lots of walking trails. Take a stroll and you'll meet all your neighbors....the best people in RWC live in this area. "
