"No public park with swing sets near by. Also I wouldn’t have kids next to the river. The schools are likely best I the country try."

"I live in the downtown, a very active and interesting area. We have a great number of friends and pets in our area."

"The neighborhood can be quiet at times, no counting the loud cars. It's kid friendly however people drive their cars very fast and can be reckless. "

"Its quiet, and we don’t have too much traffic. There are plenty of walking trails available. It’s an open layout with plenty of yard space for room to roam and play. "

"It's safe, the community is friendly, lots of bike trails and parks, family friendly as well as being a college town with a happening night scene. Top notch schools, excellent locally run utilities/high speed wifi. The only downside is we're next to a couple college rental houses, our stuff has been stolen from your yard and noise wakes up my kids at night. Also high property taxes."

"A surprisingly walkable area of Cedar Falls. You can bike or even walk along Waterloo Ave/12th St. to get to downtown Cedar Falls. You can also easily get to UNI, Hartman Reserve and other areas by biking. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly."

"The area around Applewood Lane is a great area. Very pet friendly and close to trails and a community pond. Full sidewalks on every street. Lots of families in this neighborhood have children and the bus route to Southdale elementary and Peet JH comes thru though both schools are not too far for a drop off. Because this neighborhood has one outlet the traffic is very little and streets are wide for extra parking. Minutes from beautiful Main St where shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars against the river front. Less than 15min to several stores off HWY 58/Viking (Walmart, Target, Menards, Farm and Fleet, old navy ETC) with a few food joints as well. "
